Management Team
The Globizzle concept was developed largely by Jon Italiano and fellow founder, Georgina Thorn. Whilst much of the development work has been managed in Dubai by Georgina Thorn, the business has established its base in Perth, Western Australia.
Both founders of Globizzle have significant business experience and are well qualified:
Jonathon Italiano (Managing Director – Co Founder)
Jonathon Italiano completed his University degree in Accounting and Business Law and went on to work for Ernst and Young for a number of years. Jon then moved to Asia where he worked for ten years as the Regional Finance Director for an American multinational in the contracting and services sector. On returning to Perth, Western Australia, Jon spent five years in property development, developing specialised facilities for the likes of KPMG and Woolworths. Jon was then approached and offered a position in Dubai working for the largest shopping centre operator and owner in the region. Here he undertook a two year contracted position to re-organise the development and operations divisions of the company, which he successfully completed, before again returning to Australia.
Since retruning to Australia, Jon has dedicated his time in developing Globizzle. This has included speaking all matter of stakeholders within media and journalism. In doing so, Jon has been able to clearly understand the needs of all parties involved in the use, selling and buying of media content.
Georgina Thorn (Director - Co Founder)
Currently based in Dubai, Georgina Thorn has forged a career largely within the fashion and apparel industry. She has worked in various roles with Australian fashion companies and IT, but have developed a keen flavour for media and fashion freelance writing. In her role as a writer, Georgina decided to develop Globizzle as a means of assisting other freelancers to sell their content to a larger media marketplace. Georgina has a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University in Melbourne Australia and is a proud mother of three young children.
Michael Todd (General Manager - Public Relations)
Michael Todd is the marketing face of the organization in the Northern Hemisphere. He is responsible for building an understanding of the unique nature of Globizzle and developing strong relationships with both content providers and users.
He is an Australian born entrepreneur who has university qualifications in education, psychology, coaching and organizational behaviour.
Michael has been developing businesses around the world for the last twenty years in Australia, Ireland, England, U.S.A, the U.A.E. and now India.
Steve Vaile (General Manager - Technical and Creative)
Steve Vaile manages Globizzles critical role of Technical and Creative. An expert in social media, Steve has carved a long time career in IT, web design and social media.
Much of the creative drive for Globizzle has come from Steve and his team.
Steve resides in the United Arab Emirates and has worked in IT for several multi national organisations, most recently out of London, UK.
